Does it sound tricky? to say the truth it's not. If you have MacOSX and don't remember the admin password this is a great way to save the re-install OS hassle. In 2 minutes you can have another admin account. Obviously you can't access your previous account for security reason.

Here are the steps.

Run Mac on command mode (restart and hold command (#) + S ).

Now mount your drive in write mode type ( /sbin/mount -uw /) in the command prompt (without parenthesis).

Go to db directory (cd /var/db)

Now delete the .AppleSetupDone file (rm .AppleSetupDone)

restart by typing remove on the command prompt.

OSX will think this is the first boot and welcome screen will pop up that will allow you to create a new admin. All your previous account will stay untouched.

Here is a quick solution - jar file is actually like a zip/rar file. but if you compress the theme folder using winrar, by default it will use rar and rename that file to jar to make it compatible for firefox addon window. now if you drag and drop the file on the addon window, firefox will tell you that it's not a valid installation package with error code 207. just compress the folder using zip format and your problem will be solved.

another problem is with the update site, if you have an update url for theme in your rdf file firefox shows error that update url not secure, if you get the error the comment/delete that entry from the rdf file.

one more simple problem is not maintaining the folder structure, instead of right clicking the theme folder and zip it, go inside the folder and select all the folder and files and then compress it. this way the directory structure will remain suitable for firefox's needs.
